Why it is Important to Clean Your Carpets

Even though Nip Tuck does not clean carpets we know everything that is involved in keeping it healthy. We knew there were professional carpet cleaners who did carpet repair on the side, but we could never find professional carpet repair companies. That is why we have started Nip Tuck Carpet Repair and have refrained from getting into the carpet cleaning business. However, carpet cleaning is still very important because it will allow you to keep your carpet for longer. There is more to carpet than just making sure that your carpet is vacuumed every now and then. Here are some things that you might not have known are in your carpet.

Your carpet is like a filter. It picks up everything. With that in mind if you have a dog or a cat then you can bank on your carpet having feces in it even if they are potty trained. When it comes to your animal, they might be great at making sure that they don’t step in the landmine they have created but it's impossible to say that it never happens. When it does happen, you can bet on your carpet to pick it up.

There are also what are called dust or allergy mites that live in carpet. They feed on dead skin cells which your carpet is teeming with. That is a bit sickening to think about. Dead skin cells fall off all the time and your carpet is the first to pick it up and get trapped within the fibers. Vacuuming may help to get some of them up but to properly do the job you’ll need something a little bit stronger.

Within two paragraphs you’re probably thinking that you never want to put your head or hands down on your carpet again. Vacuuming does help and goes a long way in keeping your carpet healthy. However, it won’t do the job completely. In order for your carpet to not only look and feel clean but to also actually be clean, you will need to have it cleaned by a professional. The process and effect on your carpet is completely different if you were to do it yourself.

When it comes to having carpet, there is a lot of maintenance just like with anything else. If you don’t want to have to replace your carpet anytime soon then make sure that you get your carpet cleaned regularly by a professional.
